November is all about elevating men's health, and it's time to dive into meaningful conversations. The significance of open dialogue and understanding when it comes to men's mental wellbeing cannot be overstated. Any day is an ideal time to approach conversations, offer support, and break down barriers for all the male-identifying people in our lives. With November being dedicated to men's health awareness, it's the perfect opportunity to shine a light on this crucial topic. Together, let's create a space where men feel empowered to share, seek help, and prioritize their mental wellness. Be part of the movement to promote men's mental health by engaging in conversations that matter. Your empathy and support can make a significant impact.
Let's take a moment to embrace the importance of self-care while caring for others. At any one time, approximately 1 in 10 Australians provide informal, usually unpaid, care for a loved one or dependent. This means there is roughly two and half million Australians who may experience what's known as carer’s fatigue or carer’s burnout. For those affected - caregivers, parents, grandparents, relatives, loves ones - it makes self-care a necessity, not a luxury. Looking after ourselves empowers us to be a better carer, loved one and friend: https://bit.ly/3YHFBCE. #SelfCare #caregivers #wellbeing #MentalWellbeing #recharge #support
As part of the global APM Group we enjoy seeing how our colleagues in other parts of the world are delivering on shared purpose of enabling better lives. This week we’re sharing insights from our New Zealand colleagues Rebecca and Josh. As members of the APM New Zealand team in Christchurch they deliver vital health services to people experiencing injury and health conditions in the community. APM delivers services across the country as part of the national ACC insurance scheme which provides all New Zealanders and visitors with access to professional health support following non-fault injuries. Our Kiwi colleagues also operate a series of growing physiotherapy clinics and other specialist health services in multiple regions across New Zealand’s beautiful north and south islands. When it comes to planning our next trip or adventure, it’s very reassuring to know we’re in good hands in New Zealand!
