Pros

Good company with strong vision and purposeful goals for its customers/end-users. Some of the best qualified, smart and dedicated people I've had the pleasure of working with locally and globally; there was no one NO ONE, I worked with within the core functions of producing, marketing and selling content that wasn't committed to doing the best they could do and help others do the best they could do. First class product either in traditional formats, digital formats or service delivery.

Cons

Very 'closed-shop' attitude by upper and senior management 'C-suite' to listening to what the customer truely wanted. Upper and senior management were more interested in 'managing up' and managing their own careers within the 'inner circle' than paying much attention to the feedback given by staff, industry leaders and the paying customer. Many opportunities were missed completely as this attitude of telling the customer what they are getting bore fruit. For the level of commitment, experience required and accountability to increasingly unrealistic goals, the pay was very average and the 'bonus' unobtainable.

Pros

A few good folk left but that's a positive as I can be.

Cons

Pay is pathetic but expectations are high. Years of bad managers and poor management decisions has lead to many talented people walk out the door. The culture has changed dramatically over the last few years and staff are unhappy. The new management team are not providing the strategy to get the company on the right path. Products no longer meeting customer need or demand. Outlook - gloomy!

Pros

Staff working in project management, content and tech support are friendly and a pleasure to work with.

Cons

Sinking ship feeling. Company is contracting, selling off profitable businesses to help improve the balance sheet and narrowing its focus instead of diversifying to grow revenue. Staff expertise under-utilised. Senior management treat full-time employees like freelancers. High expectations and mediocre pay. There is no salary transparency and I suspect there is a gender pay gap. Toxic interdepartmental relationship between sales and most other departments, and most in senior management seem unaware of this. The things I heard from some sales people were unbelievably unprofessional, yet they seem to be the only staff with job security.
