Pros

Quite an energetic group of people

Cons

• Use ABN loophole to avoid paying a fair wage + super annuation to employees (is this even legal?) • Entirely commission based, even though hours full-time • Exploits those on working holiday visas, who are just looking for a reasonable job and pay • Door to door sales, outside all day long • No line between the social, professional, and possibly offensive • Highest turnover of any job I've experienced • Did I mention you don't get paid unless you make a sale? • Weird that there's very few Aussies(if any) in a company that emphasizes locally sourced food. • Overall, everything about this operation seems shady and I'm surprised more haven't taken notice

Thanks for taking the time to provide feedback. We're sorry you've had a bad experience. We know that there is always room for improvement and we want to make sure that contracting with HelloFresh is perceived as a positive experience. We do understand the concerns you mentioned regarding commission-based working arrangements. The commission-based model that many companies use is aimed at rewarding contractors for their results and performance. It is no way our motivation to 'exploit' those on a working holiday visa. We put some effort into outlining all conditions regarding commissions and base pay prior to contractors commencing. We do understand that working in a sales role can be quite challenging.

Pros

Fun for those who like to drink.

Cons

Long, full-time hours but on self-employed contracts with commission only pay. Company culture is all about drinking so if you don't drink then you won't fit in.

Commission-only

Pros

- Friendly team - "Backpacker" informal vibe - Supposedly free HelloFresh boxes every week - Full training - Friday night drinks - Opportunity to be making uncapped weekly pay (apparently)

Cons

- Commission only pay - Make you apply as a sole trader with ABN (so they can get away with not paying you a base wage) - Door to Door sales - Heaps of rejection They try and make you sell to everyone and anyone, despite the product not being for them. I only worked there a week and haven't been paid at all (I made several sales and was promised a $200 training wage)

Thank you for taking the time to write your review. We will be looking more closely into your comment regarding our agents having to sell to everyone, regardless of suitability. This approach does not tie in with our product’s values. Please note that we changed our direct sales management from when your review was posted. In addition, we now pay a training base for the first two weeks of the role, this gives an ample amount of time for people to learn the job. It is true that you can earn uncapped commissions. Unfortunately, rejection is part of the role, as you say, the product does not suit everyone. We understand that working as a sales representative is not always easy and requires a lot of patience.
