Pros

While systemic support was lacking, I did encounter several dedicated staff members who were kind and willing to help where they could but again - unfortunately not many of these people were around.

Cons

Support for new graduate nurses can be inconsistent, making the transition into clinical practice difficult. There were instances where concerns about practice and pt safety felt inadequately addressed and escalation to higher management was challenging. The workplace culture in some areas could feel isolating for junior staff which made it difficult to seek guidance or feel supported. Especially frustrating when you genuinely don’t any to develop your skills.
