Customers expect you to know literally everything about hardware. If you don't know something, it's like the end of the world. Customers also expect you to do everything for them, like you're their slave. Pay starts at minimum wage. Moving up is nearly impossible. Ordering system is awful. Really it all depends on the owners. Because each is individually owned. I've been verbally abused by customers. If you're a girl, be prepared to defend yourself against sexist customers. You will be doubted everyday.
