The interview itself, which is only one round, was pretty standard and not unpleasant in itself. However, the overall recruitment process has been utterly disrespectful.
It took them a month and half to process applications, to suggest an interview scheduled two weeks after their email, and to then completely ghost me. Given the rarity of positions like this one, I had high hopes given the fact that I knew my profile fittedthe criteria and that I am more senior than the role. I only discovered by looking at LinkedIn that an internal candidate was chosen. I don't mind this type of decision, but ghosting after an interview is completely unacceptable. It does fit the poor reputation this university has anyways and their total lack of efficiency. Not a single person I know had a good experience with anything related to HR and staff recruiting. A complete lack of respect for my time and energy, and building false hopes. Wouldn't recommend even applying to their lengthy selection criteria to be ignored afterwards.
