How to Use Collections on Glassdoor’s Job Search App

Some people use Post-its, while others use the Notes application on their phone. And if you’re really old school, you might print out every job post that catches your eye. There’s no one way to organise your job search, but finally, we have what we think is the best way. Introducing Collections, a mobile-first tool to allow job seekers to organise their jobs and content, create and manage relevant notes, and be able to discover relevant jobs and content based on what inspires them. Located in the Glassdoor Job Search app, Collections replaces Post-it notes and multiple internet browser tabs by allowing you to save jobs, interview questions, salaries and reviews all in one place. Not only does Collections help you organise your job search, but it will also better prepare you for the job interview, salary negotiation and the final offer acceptance. Glassdoor is here to help propel your career, and this tool is one way to keep you organised for success. Here’s how it works!

1. Open the Glassdoor Job Search App on your mobile phone.
2. Search for a job, company review, salary or interview review.
3. Look for the “Save” button (Hint: It’s got a heart on it).
4. On the “Create a collection” slide, title your Collection. For example, “Dream Jobs” or “Salary Info at Microsoft”
5. Continue to add items to your Collections, or create a new Collection.
6. Jot down notes about the saved items or about the overall Collection. Include details about the job, location, career milestones or questions you want to be sure to ask the recruiter or hiring manager.
7. View recommended jobs and content based on your saved companies and roles.
8. Update your Collections and stay organised throughout the job search process.
