People often ask us how we select the winners, so we’ve provided some information and useful tips below. In short: there’s no application process, but there are some simple things you can do to make sure you’re considered.

What is Glassdoor?
Glassdoor combines free and anonymous company reviews, ratings and salary benchmarks with job listings. We host and collect feedback on more than 36,000 UK-based employers and 580,000 companies worldwide, drawing millions of people to our website and app each month.
Our list methodology
Glassdoor’s Best Places to Work list is based on reviews and ratings submitted by employees to Glassdoor throughout the year. Employees complete anonymous company reviews on Glassdoor that capture their overall job and company satisfaction, along with qualitative insights into the pros and cons of working for their particular company.
Glassdoor then applies a proprietary algorithm to this data. As part of that, we also consider the quality, quantity and consistency of the reviews posted.

So, how do we qualify?
There’s no form to complete to nominate your company – eligible employers are automatically considered for inclusion.
Companies must have enough reviews to qualify by the eligibility deadline, which typically falls in November. All employee reviews must also meet Glassdoor’s community guidelines in order to count towards that minimum number.
So, what makes a Best Place to Work?
While Glassdoor Best Places to Work lists are based on quantitative measures of employee satisfaction, it’s often qualitative aspects that influence employees to accept job offers and stay with a company. Factors like mission, culture, people and transparency motivate your people to come to work every day – and that’s reflected in our winners.
The companies on our Best Places to Work list are almost always mission-driven, have strong corporate cultures and embrace the transparency that resources like Glassdoor bring to the workplace.
