Pros

My experience with Trip has been positive overall. Management is open-minded when it comes to exploring new markets and business opportunities. Local team is fantastic. Most managers care about their people and prioritise balancing business goals with personal well-being, helping prevent burnout from the sometimes ambitious expectations set by offshore managers. Management seeks out feedback through open forums held every two months, fostering two-way communication. Three days in the office and two working from home. Melbourne is in a shared office, but Sydney office provides snacks regularly. Team lunches and happy hour events help foster a positive and social environment.

Cons

Some internal processes feel outdated and overly bureaucratic designed by Shanghai, which frustrates a lot!

Pros

Great team and workplace culture. It was very exciting to be part of a well established global company with such high Australian growth over the past four and a half years. I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to manage several different markets across Australia over my time at Trip which, was very rewarding. So much potential for even more growth over the next few years. Very excited to see what the future holds in the Australian market for Trip.

Cons

As the Australian team is still relatively small compared to other markets there wasn't much opportunity for promotions. In saying that, there were regular opportunities to increase salary based on performance.

Pros

Training and onboarding process were thorough, ensuring newbies were well-equipped to handle the responsibilities. A lot of opportunity for growth, surrounded by nothing but astute and driven people.

Cons

Expected to work after hours on some days to collaborate with teams across the border.
