HR/people services can be slow and difficult to deal with. Similarly, some workers can be “checked out” and not helpful / not great to work with. (A minority of people I have interacted with.) Somewhat inconsistent experience between teams as a grad. (Some are very willing to give you interesting, complex and impactful work, some require you to ask for it, some will give you grunt work) Somewhat “penny pinching” culture from management, i.e there are less non-work related “fun” events that are thrown when compared to other businesses in the industry. (May be related to Snowy being govt. owned) Also unwilling to give slightly higher raises due to inflation. The work culture is generally pretty good, such as providing a good work life balance and not setting unrealistic expectations for your work. Although, sometimes this can come out as lazy or unmotivated colleagues . (Dependant on teams)
