Pros

Some good people in teams I've been in. Mostly pretty good work/life balance. Pay is OK.

Cons

Constant restructuring Career progression pathways opaque, and opportunities rare Senior leaders have no idea, its basically just momentum and buzz words No systems ever get retired, new systems appearing all the time, you do the math Access to basic tooling is at times a problem Reactive and political approach to getting anything done Slow and heavy decision making processes

Pros

The comradery among the everyday workers

Cons

Everything. The new executives all said when they joined that they were excited about the culture and yet within a year have destroyed it. - transparency is gone - cannot raise concerns - engineers are overworked - AI slop is being generated at concerning rates, which causes more incidents - no budget for any team/company culture building - extreme burnout and depleted morale - career advancement and salary increases died with the culture. - no respect for women including in leadership
