Pros
Great campus, generally great colleagues, easy to access by car, bike, or public transport. Interesting and eclectic students. Historically focused on social justice.
Cons
Three successive VCs have gone from bad to worse. One did nothing, the next spent the surplus, and the most recent has shown zero respect for staff in bargaining for pay and conditions. Stay away until there's a purge at the top.

Super is good in the uni sector. Some good work colleagues but most have left due to redundancies and voting with feet due to toxic leadership
Cons
One of the most toxic environments I have ever worked in. Very incompetent executive management who only serve their own interests. Bullying is enabled and kept quiet by HR.

Beautiful grounds, those colleagues who were experiencing the negatives of working there banded together
Cons
Bullying and gaslighting go to the top, bullies 'failing up' is common practice, formal complaints with considerable concrete evidence are drawn out and addressed in a manner to encourage resignations. Other staff are scared to stand up for fear of being next. If the complainant doesn't resign the narrative is changed to suggest the complainant has mental health issues, not that there is a serious issue with many of the people and the culture of the university. Toxic, and I hope for the sake of the institution and students it can be addressed.

Nice campus and colleagues, and a historical focus on education and equality
Cons
Two waves of grossly unethical and barely competent neo-conservative management have ruined the place. It went from the 2nd-best university in Perth in 2010 to the worst over the past decade.
