The HR team run the business, if they don't like you, or if you challenge them, you're out. The expectations are ridiculously high and there is no support to achieve them. They also don't tell you everything that they expect of you. You have to "figure it out" There are no metrics or reporting from a people standpoint, people decisions are based on what's observed by a small group of people (primarily HR) and their opinions hold the most weight.

Cannot freely discuss salaries and when it’s raised the answer is always “you’re paid market rate” with no evidence/research shown to support this. HR most definitely run the show all the way through. Feels as though every single conversation, team meeting, company catchup, social catchup and work related project is heavily HR influenced. Very cautious of upsetting the wrong person or speaking freely. Felt as though I no longer mattered to the business and was a burden to keep around rather than properly supported.
