Good starting point for a career, but demanding workload

Pros

Knowledgeable people, good place to begin a career*. Decent salary compared to competitors. Ability to travel and relocate for top performers

Cons

Workload can be a lot for some people, few avenues for growth past certain point, work-life balance is not great as you can be asked to work during weekend, public holiday, late hours or even cancel your vacation. Current hires across non-India locations are minimal. A lot of legacy code and architecture decisions that slow you down.

Great colleagues, but toxic management

Pros

Some projects are nice. In general software architects are very good. Devs in Europe are good.

Cons

Everything else. Facilities: Office with no parking. Bad equipment (only 2 monitors and no arm to support them together). Tiny laptop screen. Management: Management is toxic. Lots of overtime expected. Layoffs in Brno happen very frequently (FNZ is cutting dev jobs in Europe and moving them to India). Little to no effort being made to migrate legacy code. Too many managers.
