      Good company to work for prior to redundancy

      Pros

      Ericsson can be very flexible, family oriented, with good benefits and understanding that personal time is required sometimes. Lots of training and development available especially technical engineering. Good teleworking opportunities.

      Cons

      Lots of politics. Ericsson tends to give senior jobs to Swedish staff, or staff who have worked in Sweden. Jobs offer go to people with internal contacts rather than ability.

      High paced environment. Free coffee.

      Cons

      Salaries way below industry standards. No salary progression. Unstable environment with lots of redundancies. Lack of leadership. Managers only care about their position in the company. Lots of politics.

      Pros

      Flexibility and Work-Life Balance, Helpful colleagues, there is not much politics, learning is encouraged and opportunities are readily available

      Cons

      Weak and uninspiring leadership, recent redundancies seem to have happened without a plan and has led to remaining employees being overworked, compensation is not great, management live in a bubble and seem to believe that low cost resource centres (India, China) have no competence issues despite contrary evidence, not much scope for vertical movement, escalation culture - need to escalate minor things to get any progress/ traction
