The Building Property Division (BDP) is currently grappling with a severe deficit in effective leadership. Transparency within the division is virtually non-existent, with crucial information withheld and decisions made behind closed doors, leaving staff feeling disconnected and uninformed. Moreover, the leadership style leans heavily towards micromanagement, fostering an environment of control and fear rather than empowerment. Employees on secondment are particularly affected, subjected to excessive workloads and unreasonable expectations, all in the name of squeezing out "the best value for money." This relentless pressure has led to widespread frustration and burnout among staff, with many ultimately choosing to leave the division in search of a more supportive and balanced work environment. Newly appointed team leader as well as higher level management who he reports to require attend some leadership courses and learn leadership skills rather than implementing sense of control and fear.
