Pros
There are a lot of extremely smart people, but they are also friendly and easy to work with. The structure is quite fluid, so people have the freedom to get involved in interesting problems outside their immediate role. There is not much pressure from the top, but most people are very self-motivated. A lot of the motivation comes from working with talented colleagues and wanting to contribute, rather than from management pushing people.
Cons
Sometimes the company can be a little too relaxed and perhaps even too nice. Priorities and expectations are not always completely clear, although this is also partly a consequence of giving people a lot of freedom.
