Pros
Good people, and the teams doing the work can *mostly* define for themselves how they do that work.
Cons
It seems many at the ExecMgr level and above are disconnected from the sentiment of the teams doing the work. Those who only manage upwards continually get promoted, and those beneath them can end up disillusioned by decisions made above their level.
