Thank you for your review, we appreciate honest and constructive feedback which we can learn from. Making Fontis a great place to work is something we work hard at, and your comments help us identify opportunities for improvement and areas where we can still do better.
Though we believe we have an effective interview process that should have ensured Fontis and any new employee are a good fit for one another, we don't always get it right. Like many other companies, all employment offers include a probation period of 3 months just in case the new hire doesn't turn out to be the right person for the role, or if the role doesn't end up suiting the employee. We believe it makes sense for both employee and employer to have the chance to work together for a time and ensure the relationship will be a success before proceeding to commit to permanent employment.
In the interests of transparency, this review was left by an employee who was employed at Fontis for 8 weeks, after which we decided to end their employment. Regular feedback was provided throughout the course of their probation where our specific concerns were raised. We endeavour to be compassionate, respectful and professional in such difficult circumstances, but of course we understand the decision not to confirm the successful completion of a probation period and subsequent move to permanent employment can be very disappointing.
