Deakin IFM is SICK - PhD Student Deakin University Employee Review

Tech staff is not helpful—especially the highlight of the IFM, a lab in particular. The manager and the equipment manager of that particular lab are so rude. They behave differently with every student, if they do not like a student (I do not what is their criteria for this) they will make sure to not provide any support to him/her and cancel their slots even if the student is handling the instruments well. This was not the case with me, I have spoken to many of my friends who work in the same lab and they all have the same opinion. This environment has affected my mental health and peace during my stay at IFM. I never felt so downgraded by anyone in my life.
