I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at WP Engine in Mar 2024
Interview
Be cautious of interviewing at this company. I received an official offer letter and had negotiated a higher offer after the role's scope increased. After receiving my negotiated verbal offer, they rescinded the offer and placed me back into the interview pipeline due to the CMO leaving and the COO taking over. Mind you, this was a 2-month process and I had been in the offer stage for 2 weeks at this point. I then pulled my candidacy as the company's actions did not align with my values.
After reviewing the site the day the offer was pulled, I noticed the job listing was removed from the site. This led me to believe that the role was cancelled. While they state they believe in transparency, it does not resolve them of accountability for their actions.

Question 1
How excited are you for the role from a scale from 1 to 10?
Thanks for the feedback. A change in leadership did shake things up on our end. Our COO, who is now leading Marketing, wanted to get caught up with active recruitment. This included speaking with recent hires and candidates in final stages. We apologize that added an unforeseen step, that then caused you to remove your candidacy. We acknowledge it was a long process as it is a critical role for us to get correct! That was not the intent, and wish you best of luck on your search. The role is still open though!
Very long process. It was a three month long process. Several levels of interviews over weeks of no activity. The feed back from each stage was positive and they keep you engaged but the process length caused me to lose out in other options.
