I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at SiteMinder (Sydney) in Sept 2015
Interview
First non-technical part of interview was conducted by "People and Culture Consultant" person in a very professional manner. She kindly introduced the company, its background and history as well as explained the nature of operations in great details.
Second (technical) part of interview (3 hours long) was conducted by "VP Operations and Infrastructure" man. Interview touched aspects of AWS deployments orchestrated with Salt.
Interviewer often interrupted my answers with harsh and judgemental remarks that Glassdor reviewers do not allow me to quote. Interview felt almost intimidating and interviewer explained aggressiveness of his inquiry by attempt to determine whether my personality fits the team. Frankly it felt like a sloppy excuse for poor interviewing skills. Interviewer is capable of honest communication and he managed to articulate his concerns yet he directed interview in not entirely productive manner. Many questions had little to do with the actual job. For example his question "What do you think about the future of the industry?" reveals nothing of relevance to the job about my background or experience yet leaves plenty of room for speculation. (I prefer to be hired for how well I can do the job, not for my speculations about the future of IT).
