At first interview went ok since it was more technical than situational. I expressed that i was not amenable to night shift. The hiring manager started discouraging me several times to proceed. She kept saying think about it bla bla bla. I asked further questions if there’s a possibility for the company to consider flexibility in shifts. She said the reason why they’re a great place to work at is bec of teamwork & collaboration. They want to be always present and cater to their stakeholders. She also said that they might change their rto to a daily basis. I felt like she was lying just so i would not proceed anymore. Right then and there i sensed that they have a bad work culture and that i thought it’s also quite alarming that the hiring manager doesnt have enough experience working in a multinational company. I realized i was way better off in my current company especially in terms of flexibility. Sometimes the grass is not always greener on the other side. Im glad im still in my current company who offers flexibility, great compensation and benefits.
