The first part of the interview was very fast. A professionally dressed woman took me to her office and asked me to tell her a little bit about myself. I got a couple words into an introduction, and she cut me off, saying that she liked me a lot and was going to move me into the next stage of the interview. I guess all 10 people who showed up were also liked a lot, because we were all sat in a room to fill out a questionnaire (it asked for names of friends who also might like this opportunity) and listen to upbeat 80s music, while various employees walked through the room to ask us if we were excited. The gentleman came in and the pitch lasted longer than expected, and he told us that he would only be calling to offer the job to a couple of us. I did not answer the call when it came because I cannot afford to pay for insurance classes, a laptop, and training at this time. I had been under the impression that I was applying for an office manager type position, where I might be answering the phone, managing schedules, doing payroll, etc, not selling insurance.
