I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at General Assembly (Seattle, WA) in July 2018
Interview
I was asked to prepare a 15 minute mini sample lesson and present it to a panel of interviewees. I started out with a group activity involving the panel (my sample students). This was used to illustrate the need for the prompt of the lesson. Then I wrote code projected on airplay to demonstrate how to solve the problem at hand. I was asked questions during my sample lesson just as students would ask questions.

Interview
I didn't get the job, but the experience was pleasant. I was guided through the process and it was clear what to expect and how to get prepared for the next stage. The team members were friendly and relaxed, so I didn't feel like I am going through a stressful selection process.
