What is working from home like at University of Arizona?

Decent health benefits, paid holidays are far more than you would expect from any employer, normal work hours (8a-5p), some departments allow for some work from home, my department is not micro-managed

Climbing out of a financial crisis (imo the President and those he has onboarded have done a fantastic job with a tough ask), no intranet -- if you work there you have to know what page you need to land on from the University site and from there you might be able to find what you're looking for. The entire University should be connected through SharePoint but it's not and I have no idea why, communication is not solid...ex. If your building is having an issue, only certain people are included in the notification email and there is an expectation that those who receive it will pass it on...even though that's not their role. There is not a University wide onboarding process that is available. I had to figure out most everything on my own.

Excellent benefits and WFH opportunities (depends on your supervisor). Students are fun to talk to and learn from.

Garbage pay. The higher up give themselves raises and bonuses then claim they're "discussing" raises with HR. Yes, thank you for the 1% raise. So generous! If you don't have a PhD, you don't really matter. It's best to smile and nod and do your job. Don't bother going the extra mile because it won't matter.

The department I work for is Hybrid (2 days WFH and 3 days in office) Very supportive team

Pay is not market pay

Remote work, Great time off accrual, friendly management

Scheduling time off can be difficult, pay raises haven't happened in 2 years, employees who work hard aren't recognized or compensated.
