I worked as a lender at the credit union for 2 years in Canada. I manage consumer, ag and comm files, am pretty comfortable with clients and getting complicated lending cases completed or organized. I want to pivot into similar role in one of big 5 banks (RBC, Scotia, TD etc) with a pay increase. I do not have CSC but completed Moody’s Ag and Commercial and NCL Financial Analysis 1-2. Is it realistic or is pay cut inevitable? I would appreciate any thoughts and recommendations.

Realistic pivot, pay cut is possible but not necessarily inevitable. Looking for a lateral role will help, since most big banks seem to pay less at the entry or mid-level.
