My juniors suck so much that it’s actually affecting my mental health. I’m annualizing 2700 and have zero help except first years who give zero fucks to accept feedback or take instructions. I’ve been asking for more help for months and keep getting told everyone is crushed. Just want to curl up and cry.

lateral 5th year. had a screener, now the firm is flying me out cross country for a callback and putting me up in a hotel. obviously they’re interested, but would you say the chances are greater than not they’d extend an offer? i know i sound crazy haha im driving myself wild overthinking this

Really feeling the pointlessness of this job today and thinking wistfully about what I wanted to do with my life before I got sucked into a prestige rabbit hole. Anyone look at what it takes to respec and go to med school in your 30s? Complete pipe dream I’m sure but saving lives seems so much better than anything I can do with a law degree.

Anyone else noticed that female associates tend to be treated less harshly by partners? It's like this Gordon Ramsey meme where if I make a mistake, the partner calls me a 'fucking donkey,' and if a female associates makes the same mistake, it's "oh dear, oh dear. gorgeous".
