Cabin Attendant salaries in Australia

Anyone ever thought about leaving consulting to be an airline pilot? Seems like it could be fun and pays reasonably well over time.

When I was young, my ambition was to become a chef, but my parents were strongly against it. They wanted me to choose a more “secure” profession like being a pilot, engineer, or doctor. Today, I’m an engineer, and over time I’ve started to understand why they didn’t support my dream—they were worried about stability and the future. I’m curious: has anyone else experienced something similar, where you later understood your parents’ decisions about your career?

I’m feeling discouraged. I’ve been trying to find a job as an Administrative Assistant for the past few months and still haven’t found one yet. I made a stupid decision during a very vulnerable and emotional time in my life and quit my job 3 years ago to become a flight attendant. I never regretted anything more in my life. My mental health has taken a decline. I have anxiety attacks every time I think about work. I’m so desperate to leave. It’s an employers market now.

I have been an Air Traffic Controller for the past 10 years for the federal government, and I am curious if anyone has input on what other career fields my skills can translate to?
