Where there's a Palm Beach Tan, there may be a few more George Hamilton and Pamela Anderson look-alikes. The company operates and franchises about 225 salons under the Palm Beach Tan banner in 20 states and the District of Columbia. (About a third of Palm Beach Tan's salons are located in Texas, its largest market.) Salons feature traditional UV tanning beds as well as the firm's patented Mystic Tan UV-free spray-tan system. They also have extended hours and do not require appointments or contracts. In addition, the firm operates about 60 salons in California and Washington under the Desert Sun Tanning banner.
