The opportunity

Join CSIRO Information Management and Technology (IMT) team as a Power Platform Developer, working in an agile, collaborative environment where adaptability, teamwork and practical outcomes are prioritised.

You’ll form part of a high-performing DevOps team, where you’ll design and deliver solutions that support CSIRO’s strategic and operational goals.

This role will see you collaborate with developers, business analysts, testers and stakeholders across CSIRO contributing to end‑to‑end solution delivery. This role suits someone who can work effectively with limited guidance, while also demonstrating initiative, independence and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes.

High-level duties include:

• Adapt and/or develop original solutions to meet the provided requirements
• Provide technical advice that is aligned with the overall solution designs, architecture and framework
• Respond to production issues and routine maintenance activities as required
• Successfully complete assigned development tasks as specified by due dates.
• Use sound judgement when dealing with unexpected or competing project priorities or issues.

Location and office arrangements: Marsfield (NSW), Black Mountain (ACT), Clayton (Vic), St Lucia (Qld), Waite (SA)

Salary: AU$118,102 – AU$127,808 per annum (pro rata for part-time), plus 15.4% superannuation

As the successful candidate, you will bring:

Essential criteria

• A minimum of 4 years demonstrated experience in the technical development of Microsoft solutions.
• Demonstrated experience of the Power Platform, including the ability to configure: o Dashboards, Forms, Tables, Fields and Views o Business Process Flows o Security models o Automation using Power Automate, Workflows and Business Rules
• Proven ability and motivation to proactively seek out solutions under minimal direction.
• Proven ability to promote a team approach and develop sound working relationships with team colleagues, clients and stakeholders.
• Understanding of how SharePoint and the Power Platform fit into the broader Microsoft 365 ecosystem

Desirable

• Experience working with Dynamics Portal online
• Experience using Power BI
